German WWII-era veterans association breast eagle (Brustadler), attributed to the Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (NS-RKB), the German veterans organization.
This metal insignia features a German national eagle with fully outstretched wings, displaying finely detailed feather patterns across both wings.
The center incorporates an Iron Cross with contrasting black detailing, positioned above crossed swords. Beneath the eagle is a circular wreath enclosing a swastika.
The insignia retains a silver-colored finish with age-related patina, minor oxidation, surface wear and discoloration.
The reverse is fitted with a long horizontal pinback attachment, consisting of a hinged pin and retaining catch. The pin shows visible oxidation and darkening, while the attachment hardware appears complete.
The reverse bears the marking **”8 GES. GESCH.”**, with *Ges. Gesch.* representing *Gesetzlich Geschützt* (legally protected). The numeral 8 is recorded as marked and is not attributed to a particular manufacturer.
This eagle design is associated with German veterans organizations of the Third Reich period and represents an interesting example of German organizational uniform insignia.
