Original German WWII steel ammunition belt designed for the MG34 and MG42 machine guns. This articulated belt is composed of interlinked steel segments with integrated retaining springs, characteristic of the Gurt 34/41 pattern widely used throughout the war.
The piece shows significant period wear and oxidation, consistent with field use and long-term storage. The natural surface corrosion and aged finish give it a strong authentic battlefield character, making it an excellent display piece or addition to any German machine gun collection.
Despite the wear, the belt remains structurally intact, with its original linked construction clearly visible and mechanically complete.
This example is configured as a 50 round belt and measures approximately 33.5 inches in length.
A desirable and increasingly scarce accessory for MG34 / MG42 displays, especially appreciated in untouched, as-found condition.
