Original WWII German Schutzpolizei des Reichs shoulder strap for the rank of Oberwachtmeister. Constructed with silver Russian braid-style edging surrounding dark brown center cords, mounted on bright police green backing cloth.
The green backing identifies the Schutzpolizei branch of the Ordnungspolizei. The woven silver and dark brown construction is characteristic of police NCO ranks, with this configuration corresponding to the rank of Oberwachtmeister during the Third Reich period.
The shoulder strap remains in very good overall condition with attractive period appearance and light wear from service use. The reverse retains its original stitched retaining tongue and green cloth backing, showing honest age and use.
