German WWII Mother’s Cross, officially known as the *Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter*, presented here in its **Bronze Grade (3rd Class)**, complete with a blue and white striped ribbon.
Instituted on December 16, 1938, the Mother’s Cross was awarded in recognition of motherhood under the National Socialist government. The bronze grade was designated for mothers of four or five children who met the regime’s eligibility requirements.
The decoration features a bronze-colored cross with deep blue enamel arms and contrasting white enamel borders, superimposed over a radiating sunburst.
The central medallion displays a black swastika on a white background, surrounded by the inscription **”DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER”** (To the German Mother).
The reverse bears the commemorative inscription:
**16. Dezember 1938**
Below the date are the reproduced signatures associated with the institution of the award.
The cross is accompanied by a blue and white striped ribbon, folded for display.
The bronze-colored finish exhibits light age-related patina, while the blue and white enamel appears well preserved in the photographs.
**Condition:** Very Good overall, with minor surface wear, age-related toning and light handling marks. The ribbon shows slight wear and minor fraying near its folded end.
