Original Bundeswehr belt and buckle set, featuring the classic West German eagle within a circular wreath and the inscription “Einigkeit • Recht • Freiheit” (Unity • Justice • Freedom), the national motto of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The buckle is of stamped construction with a silver-toned finish, showing light wear and natural age toning. The reverse is maker marked, consistent with period Bundeswehr production.
The belt is constructed of black leather with a natural brown interior, and remains supple. It is fitted with its original metal hook and adjustment system, and retains handwritten period markings on the inner leather, adding character and authenticity.
This type of belt and buckle was standard issue within the Bundeswehr during the Cold War era and beyond, representing the post-war German armed forces.
