Original late-war printed armband worn by members of the Deutscher Volkssturm, the German national militia established in the final months of World War II. The armband features the bold inscription “DEUTSCHER VOLKSSTURM WEHRMACHT” in white Gothic script on a black central band flanked by red edges and bordered by white stripes. Both eagles and swastikas are clearly visible at each end of the band.
This example is machine stitched at the rear with typical red cotton thread. It presents general wear from age and use, with minor thread pulls and light fraying along some edges, but remains structurally intact and well-preserved. The reverse shows the characteristic offset ink bleed through the fabric, consistent with known period examples.
An emblematic and historically important artifact from the chaotic final phase of the Third Reich, this armband is an iconic piece of Volkssturm memorabilia.
Note: Guaranteed original – no modern reproduction.
