Original NSDAP 25 Year Long Service Medal complete with its presentation case. Instituted in 1939, the NSDAP long service awards were presented to party members in recognition of loyal service and dedication to the National Socialist Party over extended periods of time.
The medal features a silvered cross with black enamel swastika centerpiece surrounded by an oakleaf wreath. The reverse bears the inscription:
“Für treue Dienste”
(“For Faithful Service”)
The award remains mounted to its original dark blue ribbon with functional horizontal pinback assembly to the reverse. Included is the original red leatherette presentation case with silver “25” device to the lid. Interior retains its original deep red velvet lining and fitted medal compartment.
The medal itself remains in very good condition overall with attractive finish and strong enamel details. The case shows expected period wear and age, including one side panel that has become partially collapsed/depressed from age and storage, while still displaying well and retaining solid overall integrity.
A desirable cased NSDAP long service award and an increasingly difficult set to find complete with its original presentation box.
