Original German WWII four-place ribbon bar (Feldspange) displaying four Third Reich decorations.
The ribbons are mounted from left to right as follows:
1. Medal in Commemoration of 1 October 1938 – Sudetenland Medal
(Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938)
2. Medal in Commemoration of 13 March 1938 – Austrian Anschluss Medal
(Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13. März 1938)
3. Eastern Front Medal 1941/42 – Ostmedaille
(Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42)
4. Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939
(Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939)
An interesting combination representing both pre-war territorial annexation awards and subsequent wartime service on the Eastern Front, together with the Iron Cross 2nd Class.
Of particular note, the ribbons are mounted in an unusual sequence, with the Iron Cross ribbon occupying the fourth position rather than the higher-precedence position normally expected under German regulations. The bar is offered exactly as originally assembled.
The ribbons retain strong, attractive colors and are tightly mounted over their original metal backing.
The reverse retains the complete horizontal pin and catch assembly and displays normal age-related patina with a few small areas of surface oxidation.
