German WWII Kriegsmarine Naval Officer Visor Cap Cockade (Schirmmützenkokarde), featuring an elaborately embroidered golden oak leaf wreath surrounding the German national cockade in black, white and red.
This attractive officer-quality insignia is embroidered in gold-colored synthetic Cellon-style thread on a dark navy-blue cloth backing.
The detailed oak leaves display pronounced veins and carefully executed embroidery, while the central national cockade retains its distinctive silver-white, black and red coloration.
The insignia has been trimmed around its original embroidered design, with minor fraying and light handling wear along the edges.
The reverse is covered with dark cloth, concealing the embroidery threads and providing a finished backing.
This type of insignia was worn on the front of the peaked visor caps (Schirmmützen) of Kriegsmarine officers during the Third Reich period.
An attractive naval officer cap insignia displaying fine embroidery and strong original-style coloration.
