Original Iron Cross 1st Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse), 1939 pattern. This example features the classic three-piece construction with magnetic iron core and silvered frame.
The beaded frame remains well defined, with honest age wear and natural toning. The magnetic core retains much of its original black finish, showing expected surface wear from period use. The reverse presents an unmarked configuration with a long tapered pin, block-style hinge, and round wire catch.
The hardware setup and construction are consistent with mid-war production examples. No visible maker mark.
