Original Der Stahlhelm (Bund der Frontsoldaten) membership badge, Weimar-era period.
This circular openwork badge features the iconic Stahlhelm helmet over crossed flags, surrounded by a raised outer border. The reverse is marked “GES.GESCH.” (Gesetzlich Geschützt – legally protected design).
The badge retains its original horizontal pin assembly. The surface shows natural age toning and honest wear consistent with period manufacture. No signs of modern reproduction observed.
Der Stahlhelm was a prominent German veterans’ organization active during the Weimar Republic, later absorbed into SA structures in the early 1930s.
A desirable and historically significant political veterans’ badge from pre-Third Reich Germany.
Condition: Age wear and patina present. Pin functional. Structurally sound.
