Original WWII German Schutzpolizei des Reichs shoulder strap for the rank of Hauptwachtmeister. Constructed with silver Russian braid-style edging surrounding dark brown center cords, mounted on bright police green backing cloth.
This style of shoulder strap was worn by senior NCO personnel within the Ordnungspolizei structure during the Third Reich period. The green backing identifies the Schutzpolizei branch, while the woven silver and brown construction is characteristic of the Hauptwachtmeister rank.
The piece remains in very good overall condition with light age toning and minor service wear. The reverse retains its original green backing cloth and shows honest signs of period use and uniform attachment.
