Original German forestry service collar tab attributed to the rank of Forstmeister, featuring finely embroidered silver bullion oak leaf sprays on a dark green velvet backing with silver twisted cord edging.
The design corresponds closely to period forestry rank insignia illustrated in the 1938 dress regulations, where embroidered oak leaf motifs denoted senior forestry officials. The silver bullion embroidery remains well preserved and displays excellent detail throughout the foliage pattern. The dark green velvet backing retains attractive color and contrast, while the reverse exhibits period hand-finished construction consistent with original manufacture.
Offered as a single collar tab rather than a matched pair. A desirable and increasingly difficult-to-find piece of German forestry insignia suitable for collectors of Reich forestry administration and related organizations.
