Authentic World War I cap badge from the 1st Depot Battalion, Nova Scotia Regiment, Canada. Crafted in brass with an intact lug and loop attachment, this badge features a maple leaf surmounted by the crown of King George V, with the provincial shield of Nova Scotia at its center. The circular inscription reads “1st Depot Bn Nova Scotia Regiment Canada.” This type of badge was worn by soldiers awaiting assignment in the Canadian Army at Halifax and other enlistment points during the Great War. A fine example, both historic and visually appealing.
Condition: Very good, with a nice natural patina and fully intact rear attachment.
