WWII Canadian Medal Pair – War Medal 1939–1945 & Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Maple Leaf Clasp

Description:
A nicely mounted pair of original WWII Canadian service medals, consisting of:

  1. Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM) with the Maple Leaf Clasp, awarded to members of the Canadian forces who volunteered and served honorably for at least 18 months. The medal displays a group of marching service personnel on the obverse, and the Canadian Coat of Arms on the reverse. It retains its original ribbon in green, red, and blue, with the bronze clasp denoting overseas service.

  2. War Medal 1939–1945, issued to all full-time personnel of the armed forces of the British Commonwealth who served for at least 28 days during the war. The obverse shows the crowned effigy of King George VI, while the reverse depicts a lion standing over a fallen dragon — symbolizing victory over Axis powers. Complete with its red, white, and blue ribbon.

Both medals are made of silver and come with their original period ribbons and suspensions. Light age patina present, with intact mounting pins on reverse. A great representative set for any Canadian WWII collection.
