Original 1933–1934 Winterhilfswerk (WHW) donation badge from Gau Westfalen-Nord, featuring an early portrait of Adolf Hitler and the inscription “Hitler’s Dank – Winterhilfe”. These tinnies were issued during the first national WHW fundraising campaigns, shortly after the NSDAP came to power.
This example was manufactured by Paulmann & Crone, Lüdenscheid, one of the best-known period badge makers, and is clearly marked Ges. Gesch. on the reverse. The badge retains strong detail with honest age toning and oxidation typical of ferrous construction. The original pin is missing, but the piece remains fully authentic and displays very well.
