Original German Third Reich real photographic postcard featuring a close portrait of Adolf Hitler wearing his political uniform and peaked cap.
The lower front bears the distinctive Stengel publisher logo. The reverse identifies the producer as Kunstanstalt Stengel & Co. G.m.b.H., Dresden and is marked “Echte Photographie”, identifying it as a real photographic postcard.
The lower reverse carries the Stengel production/reference number 83678 k N 233.
Unlike an unused example, this postcard retains a period 54 + 96 Reichspfennig Grossdeutsches Reich Adolf Hitler stamp, which substantially improves its visual and philatelic interest. The stamp has been cancelled, and an additional circular postal marking is visible near the upper-right corner.
There is no conventional correspondence or recipient address on the reverse. However, period/collector annotations are present along the lower margin, including “VAN LOOY 27/4/37” and “N° 3219 H.” Their exact significance cannot be established from the card alone.
The combination of the photographic Hitler portrait, Stengel manufacture, original postage stamp and postal markings makes this a particularly attractive example for a collection of Third Reich photographic propaganda and postal history.
The card remains in good original condition with age toning, scattered foxing and handling wear visible primarily around the margins and reverse. The photographic image itself remains strong and well defined.
