Original German postcard from the series “Die siegreichen Fahnen und Standarten der Deutschen Wehrmacht” depicting a Heer standard with Iron Cross and national insignia.
The reverse bears a desirable commemorative cancellation dated 26 May 1938 associated with the Grundsteinlegung des Volkswagenwerkes (foundation ceremony of the Volkswagen factory). Such event cancellations add historical significance beyond the postcard itself.
