Original German Mother’s Cross Bronze Class (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter), awarded to German mothers who had borne and raised four or five children. Instituted on December 16, 1938, this decoration was created to recognize motherhood and family contribution within Germany during the period.
The award features the distinctive blue and white enamel cross with a central black swastika surrounded by the inscription “Der Deutschen Mutter”. The reverse bears the commemorative date “16. Dezember 1938” along with the facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler, as issued on original examples.
This example displays attractive blue and white enamel with strong color retention and good overall detail. The reverse exhibits an even age patina consistent with its age. The suspension loop remains intact and undamaged. A desirable original wartime award representing one of the most recognizable civilian decorations of the Third Reich era.
An excellent display piece for collectors of German awards, social welfare decorations, or Third Reich memorabilia.
Condition: Very good condition with well-preserved enamel, light age wear, attractive patina, and intact suspension loop. Ribbon not present.
