Vintage German Hunting (Jagd) Pewter Hat Badge – Deer Head
Original vintage German hunting (Jagd) hat badge featuring a finely detailed stag head surrounded by an oak leaf wreath.
Manufactured in cast pewter/zinc with a horizontal pinback fastening. The upper portion is marked “JAGD”, while the remaining inscription has become partially worn with age.
These badges were commonly worn on traditional Bavarian and Austrian hunting hats (Trachtenhut) and are closely associated with hunting clubs, alpine traditions and regional festivals.
A nice decorative example with attractive age and patina.
