German WWII 1939-pattern SA / NSDAP political visor cap eagle, bearing the RZM manufacturer designation M1/13, attributed to L. Christian Lauer of Nürnberg, Germany.
This style of national eagle was used on political and Sturmabteilung (SA) headgear during the Third Reich period.
The front depicts a detailed eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreath containing a swastika. The insignia features pronounced feather detailing across the wings and body.
The metal displays a heavily darkened finish, with areas of lighter silver-colored metal visible on the raised surfaces, particularly along the wings and central wreath.
The reverse has a hollow-backed construction with three flat metal attachment prongs visible. The piece shows considerable surface patina, oxidation and accumulated discoloration consistent with its present condition.
**Marking:** RZM M1/13 – L. Christian Lauer, Nürnberg.
**Condition:** Used, with substantial darkening, finish wear and age-related oxidation. The three reverse attachment prongs are present. Please examine both photographs carefully for the exact condition.
