An original German WWII Kriegsmarine gilt uniform button featuring the classic fouled anchor emblem within a rope border. The reverse is maker marked “FEUERVERGOLDUNG ASSMANN & SÖHNE”, identifying the prestigious Lüdenscheid manufacturer and indicating the button was fire-gilded.
The original gilt finish remains very attractive with honest age and light service wear. The attachment loop is intact and secure.
