German WWII-era veterans association breast eagle (Brustadler), attributed to the Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund (NS-RKB), the German veterans organization.
This attractive metal insignia features a German national eagle with fully outstretched wings, displaying finely embossed feather details and a distinctive military-style design.
At the center of the eagle is an Iron Cross with black detailing, positioned over a pair of crossed swords. Below, a circular oak leaf wreath surrounds a swastika.
The insignia retains an attractive silver-colored finish, with well-defined details across the wings, central Iron Cross and lower wreath. Minor age-related toning, surface wear and localized discoloration are visible.
The reverse features a long horizontal pinback attachment with a hinged pin and retaining catch. The attachment hardware appears complete, with some age-related discoloration.
The reverse is clearly marked **”20 GES. GESCH.”**, with *Ges. Gesch.* standing for *Gesetzlich Geschützt* (legally protected). The numeral 20 is recorded as marked, without assigning it to a particular manufacturer.
This style of eagle is associated with German veterans organizations during the Third Reich period and represents an interesting example of German organizational uniform insignia.
