Original Third Reich commemorative postcard issued for the Tag der NSDAP im Generalgouvernement, held in Krakau (Cracow) from 15–17 August 1941.
The front features a striking color portrait of a German soldier by artist W. Hoeck, created for the first anniversary of the NSDAP organization within the General Government.
The reverse is particularly desirable, bearing:
the original 12 Groschen Generalgouvernement postage stamp
two crisp special event cancellations reading:
“Ein Jahr NSDAP im Generalgouvernement – Krakau – 15–17.8.41”
The postcard is additionally dated Krakau, 16 August 1941, with a handwritten message sent during the event itself, providing excellent historical context.
