The ring is cast in a low-grade alloy typical of the 1930s–1940s, showing natural pitting, oxidation, and surface wear consistent with long-term age. The asymmetrical shaping around the bezel and the irregular, hand-worked cross motif strongly support field-made origin rather than postwar souvenir manufacture.
