Original Third Reich propaganda postcard issued for Tag der Briefmarke 1941 (“Stamp Day 1941”), featuring the patriotic illustration “Im Kampf um die Freiheit!” (“In the Fight for Freedom!”).
The artwork depicts a German soldier carrying the Reich war flag beneath the slogan promoting the wartime struggle. The illustration is signed Ax-Heinz and was produced specifically for the 1941 Stamp Day fundraising campaign.
The reverse bears the original Winterhilfswerk (WHW) 4+3 Pfennig commemorative postage stamp together with the desirable special “Tag der Briefmarke 1941” cancellation from Dresden, dated 12 January 1941. The postcard was mailed as a Drucksache (printed matter) and remains an attractive example of Third Reich postal history.
