Excellent original Winterhilfswerk (WHW) commemorative postcard issued for the 7. KWHW Reichs-Straßensammlung (7th Reich Street Collection) held during the Third Reich.
The postcard features the attractive color artwork “Huflattich” (Coltsfoot) by Axel Huflattich and retains its original 3 Reichspfennig postage stamp with a desirable special commemorative cancellation from Wittenberg-Lutherstadt, dated 30 March 1941.
Official WHW commemorative postcards were produced as souvenirs of the nationwide Winter Relief fundraising campaigns and are appreciated today by collectors of Third Reich postal history, propaganda, and WHW material.
A nice original example displaying light period wear consistent with age. The reverse remains blank except for the commemorative postal cancellation.
