Original German Third Reich membership book (Mitgliedsbuch) of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF – German Labor Front), issued to Erich Richter of Berlin.
The booklet was issued during the early Third Reich period and records Richter’s membership in the Deutsche Arbeitsfront beginning September 1, 1934, within Gau Groß-Berlin.
The attractive red marbled hard cover retains its gold DAF cogwheel and swastika emblem, with the owner’s name, “Richter Erich,” handwritten at the upper right.
Inside are numerous original handwritten administrative entries, official DAF stamps and a substantial number of colorful DAF contribution stamps (Beitragsmarken), documenting the payment of membership dues.
The opening pages also retain the printed facsimile signature of Dr. Robert Ley, Reichsorganisationsleiter of the NSDAP and leader of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront.
A particularly attractive example of a DAF membership document, retaining extensive period entries and numerous original contribution stamps.
