Original German DAF (Deutsche Arbeitsfront – German Labour Front) wooden badge from 1935, bearing the inscription “Deine Hand dem Handwerk”.
The circular badge is manufactured from wood and features the DAF cogwheel and swastika emblem at the center, surrounded by the period slogan “Deine Hand dem Handwerk” and the date 1935.
This design is associated with the German handicraft movement and DAF activities of 1935. Period examples of this badge are known in wooden construction with a simple needle attachment on the reverse.
The original rear attachment is no longer present, leaving the reverse completely flat. The wooden badge itself remains intact and retains much of its original red printed design, with age-related wear and fading visible throughout.
An affordable original period piece and an interesting example of Third Reich-era DAF handicraft-related insignia.
