Original 1936 Berlin Olympic Games (XI. Olympiade Berlin) commemorative badge, manufactured by DH (Dr. Franke & Co., Lüdenscheid).
This attractive badge features the iconic Brandenburg Gate above the Olympic Rings, with the inscription:
“XI. Olympiade Berlin”
and the date 1936 prominently displayed on the monument.
The reverse retains its original horizontal pin assembly and is marked “Ges. Gesch.” (Gesetzlich Geschützt – Legally Protected) along with the DH maker’s monogram. The badge is struck in gilt-finished tombak with excellent detail and attractive original finish.
Official Berlin Olympic souvenirs remain highly collectible due to their direct association with the 1936 Olympic Games held in Berlin.
