Description

Rare and original WWII-era German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz / DRK) medical ointment jar labeled “Borsalbe”, dated June 1942. This type of jar contained a topical salve—likely used for treating wounds, burns, or skin conditions—distributed by the Landestelle VI, a regional medical supply branch.

The black tin lid is beautifully printed with the Reichsadler over a red cross, flanked by Gothic script. The glass jar still contains remnants of the original clear salve, a rare feature for collectors of WWII field medical gear.
