Original World War II supporter badge for the Légion des Volontaires Français contre le bolchevisme (LVF), the French collaborationist formation raised under the Vichy regime to fight alongside the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front.
This variant features a stylized Viking ship prow—a common symbolic motif used by the LVF—overlaid with a large white “V” and the initials L (blue) and F (red), reflecting nationalist and anti-communist imagery.
The badge is struck in brass with colored enamel highlights. The obverse shows authentic wartime oxidation and retains strong detail.
The reverse displays a period or postwar field repair, where the original pin assembly was replaced by a soldered brass pin. This does not affect display but is noted for accuracy.
A scarce and historically significant piece of French collaborationist memorabilia.
