Full-length winter portrait of a German Army soldier standing in snow, wearing the double-breasted Mantel and field cap; Heer belt buckle visible. Reverse with green Vienna studio stamp and printed legend “JEDE VERVIELFÄLTIGUNG VERBOTEN 1942”. Handwritten note states the soldier fell on 5.VII.1942 near “Kamenka” and was buried at “Surasch/Wellich” (partially legible); signed by “Hans & Anna” (parents), indicating a memorial photo. Condition: very good overall with light handling marks; adhesive stain/toning along right edge on the front, back clean otherwise.
