German WWII Luftwaffe EM/NCO Cap Eagle – Second Pattern.
This is an original machine-woven cap eagle produced for Luftwaffe enlisted men and NCOs (EM/NCO). Representing the desirable Second Pattern, this style replaced the earlier First Pattern (“Droop Tail”) and was worn on Luftwaffe field caps throughout much of the Second World War.
The eagle retains excellent woven detail and displays attractive age-related patina consistent with an original wartime example. It has been removed from its original cap and shows honest service wear, including minor edge wear and stitching remnants from period use. The reverse remains original and exhibits the expected characteristics of wartime construction.
A fine original Luftwaffe cap eagle, ideal for collectors of German WWII insignia, Luftwaffe headgear, or advanced militaria collections.
