Original Luftwaffe enlisted man’s belt buckle (Koppelschloss) of the Second World War. This aluminum example features the classic Luftwaffe eagle in flight clutching a swastika, centered within an oak-leaf wreath on a finely pebbled field. The reverse retains its original catch, prong bar, and belt hook assembly, all firmly attached and untouched. The lightweight aluminum construction is characteristic of early and mid-war production before the widespread transition to steel buckles.
The buckle displays an attractive natural gray aluminum finish with honest age and service wear. The eagle, wreath, and pebbling remain well defined, giving the piece excellent display appeal. The reverse hardware shows typical period construction and remains fully intact. No visible maker markings are present, which is not uncommon for wartime Luftwaffe aluminum buckles.
