An original German WWII 25 Years Faithful Service Cross (Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen 2. Stufe) complete with its original blue ribbon. This attractive example retains an excellent silver finish with crisp details and honest period character.
Instituted on January 30, 1938, the Faithful Service Decoration recognized long and loyal civilian service to the German state. The 25 Years Cross was awarded to civil servants and public employees who had completed twenty-five years of faithful service. The reverse bears the inscription “Für treue Dienste” (“For Faithful Service”), surrounded by an oak leaf wreath.
A desirable original decoration that displays very well and makes an excellent addition to any Third Reich awards collection.
Condition: Very good original condition with attractive silver finish. Complete with its original blue ribbon showing only light age wear and minor fraying at the upper end consistent with age.
